Some of the parks were open and the weather really cooperated at the Jersey Shore this weekend. Some people even described it as hot.

So just how hot did it get yesterday? We checked out the daytime highs for a handful of towns around Monmouth & Ocean Counties, and we came pretty close to 80. So let's check the daytime highs in some local towns according to the Rutgers New Jersey Weather Network.

Here were the daytime highs for 5/3/20:

Holmdel...78

Howell...78

Oceanport...78

Point Pleasant...77

Sea Girt...78

Seaside Heights...77

Toms River...79

Wall Twp...78

So, we couldn't quite hit 80, but thank you to Toms River to getting us the closest at 79 degrees. Our Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says we'll hit the mid 60's today before temperatures start heading down, and tonight's low will be 39.

So, we hope you safely enjoyed a beautiful weekend at the Jersey Shore, but don't expect to see temperatures like yesterday again for at least the next few days. The forecast keeps daytime highs in the 60's through Saturday.
