Even if you're not looking to buy or sell a home, it's entertaining to see just how dramatically the values of homes in the area have increased in just a year.  I found some of the most mind-blowing ones for you to take a look at.

Before we dive in, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the 2022 value of the home is the price it's being sold for.  The previous home value was taken from the "Zestimate" section of the site, which means it was an estimate of the home value and wasn't necessarily previously sold for that price.

In order to calculate the percent of the home value increase, I used a formula from Premier Atlanta Real Estate's website which was to subtract the old price from the new price, and then divide that number by the old price.  Once I got that number, I moved the decimal point over 2 places to the right to get my percent.

Sorry for the grade school math class flashback.  Back to the fun.

Some home values in Ocean County, NJ were seeing over triple digital growth.

Believe it or not, this wasn't even the highest value increase in the area.
