Tis the season to be spooky...but not too late.

Ocean Township (Monmouth County) Police have issued a Halloween Curfew that runs from Thursday until Sunday between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6:00 am.

This means all the kids and teenagers under the age of 18 are not allowed in any public place, public street or public property unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, so get all your trick-or-treating done before it's too late.

Police say the curfew is in affect "to ensure a safe Halloween for everyone."

If you plan on enjoying some scary movies while handing out treats this year, be sure to post a sign on your lawn letting people know as much and the same thing goes if you don't feel comfortable handing out treats.

There are signs you can download and print out from Ocean Police on their website you can then post on your front lawn.

Stay safe, wear a mask and be socially distant this Halloween.
