Ocean Township Police have announced the arrest of an Asbury Park man who is accused of exposing himself to a woman walking through Joe Palaia Park last week.

Through their on-scene investigation on July 21, around 6:29 pm, police learned from the female victim that the man exposed himself as she was walking on a path in the park.

When police placed him under arrest, the man was identified as 33-year-old Sergio Lopez-Sanchez of Asbury Park who was then charged with Lewdness and Harassment.

Following his arrest and processing at police headquarters, Sergio Lopez-Sanchez was released on a criminal summons, police said, pending a future court appearance.

However, Ocean Township Police believe this was not an isolated incident but that Sergio Lopez-Sanchez may have been involved in other similar incidents of indecent exposure on his behalf.
