Beachwood man to spend 15-years in prison following multiple cocaine arrests
A Beachwood man is being sentenced to 15-years in prison following multiple run-ins with the law for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced Friday that Michael Trotman, 36, was sentenced to fifteen years as a result of his previously entered guilty plea to Possession of Cocaine in a Quantity Greater than Five Ounces with Intent to Distribute in connection with a motor vehicle stop and arrest on May 30, 2018 in Manchester Township.
Trotman was also sentenced Friday to eight years in prison as a result of a previously entered guilty plea to Possession of Cocaine in a Quantity Greater than One-Half Ounce but less than Five Ounces with Intent to Distribute stemming from a motor vehicle stop and arrest on March 4, 2020 in Brick Township.
His sentences will run concurrently.
In the Manchester stop, Trotman was pulled over by township police who searched the vehicle after getting his consent and they found a hidden compartment in the center console area which contained approximately 700 grams of Cocaine, as well as undisclosed quantities of Codeine, Oxycodone Pills and Marijuana which were packaged for distribution.
Police also found $1,400 in cash in the vehicle.
Trotman was placed in the Ocean County jail but then had to be released by the Court due to New Jersey's bail reform laws.
Nearly two years later, Trotman was arrested again, this time in Brick Township after officers caught him swerving in the road.
When officers walked to to his car, they caught a strong whiff of Marijuana.
Trotman was found to be in possession of Marijuana as well asmore than one-half ounce of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
He has been in the Ocean County Jail since the date of his second cocaine, narcotics related arrest.
Prosecutor Billhimer said that Senior Assistant Prosecutor Robert J. Cassidy handled these cases on behalf of the State.
