A night of great music featuring some of the most powerful, melodic and inspiring songs ever written is coming to Toms River on Saturday June 1st and what makes it even better is it’s for a great cause.

The Grunin Center at Ocean County College will host the 2nd Annual Hope Rises Concert as Chris Pinnella, backed by a 15-piece orchestra performs new takes on some classic songs by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel and more.  There will be special guests, including 2018 American Idol contestant Mara Justine and a 30-piece choir of young singers from across the state.

This promises to be a magical evening starring Pinnella, a nationally-acclaimed vocalist who performed several tours with the very popular Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  His show last year at the Grunin Center which featured the music of Billy Joel drew rave reviews and this one promises to be to be another unforgettable night of music.

I’m mentioning this because all proceeds benefit a pair of incredibly important Toms River-based non-profit organizations that meet the critical needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.

HOPE Sheds Light is a family-focused agency that offers education, resources and support to everyone and anyone impacted by addiction and the opioid epidemic that has plagued our community.  It was founded by Ron Rosetto, Stephen Willis and Arvo Prima who all lost sons to addiction and wanted to keep their legacy alive by helping other families face the problems head on and find recovery.

The HOPE Center serves neighbors in crisis with dignity and compassion while providing for their basic needs and helping them become self-sufficient.

Tickets for the 2nd Annual Hope Rises Concert on June 1st at the Grunin Center (8pm) are $50 for general admission and $100 for a VIP Meet & Greet.  To purchase tickets and for additional information visit GruninCenter.org.

Enjoy a great night of music and most importantly give HOPE to others.
