It's back and scarier than ever...zombies will roam the boardwalk once again for the 13th annual Asbury Park Zombie Walk.  In case you didn't know, it is returning this Saturday after having to cancel last year due to the pandemic. Here are all the details...

These zombies have a big goal...they're attempting to set the world record for the largest gathering of zombies in one place!  If anyone can do it Asbury Park can!

Yes, there will be COVID precautions in place, for example,  there won't be any on-site makeup artists to up your zombie game there. You gotta come ready to go but everyone is ready to be back at the fun regardless.

According to Zombie Walk organizer Jason Meehan...

A lot of people were disappointed we didn't together last year.  It's exciting to get everyone back together and back together doing something that they enjoy.

You can gather by 1p.m, but the Zombie Walk starts at 4p.m at Convention Hall (which by the way totally has haunted vibes, more on that at another time). The plan is to gravitate down the Boardwalk towards the Carousel House and end on Main Street.

Don't forget, there is always an official Zombie Walk After-Party at Johnny Mac's House of Spirits on Main Street. That's where they will judge the best zombie categories too.

If you want in on the competition, you have to be at the boardwalk at 3 p.m. Prizes will be handed out for Best Young Zombie, Best Adult, Best Couple, Best Group, and Best Masked Zombie so bring your "A" game!

There will also be a Thriller Dance outside of the Paramount Theater t 3:30 p.m. and donations for Move for Hunger will be taken at the Walk.

Read more about it on the official Zombie Walk website or here in The Patch.
