In a time of negativity everywhere you look, this glimmer of hope is just what we need to close out the week.

The women and men of a United States Coast Guard Cutter managed to help an endangered animal return to its natural habitat on Thursday.

Crews onboard of the USCG Angela McShan were able to free a leatherback turtle from entanglement in what looks to be fishing line off the coast of Atlantic City.

The sea turtle looks distressed in the photo snapped by the USCG, but litter does he or she know, they're about to be saved by the finest fighting force on the planet.

Anyone who knows me, or reads my blogs, knows that I am a huge turtle lover/nerd/fan so this really made me go "awwwww"!

This also shows the dangers of pollution in our oceans. Did you know that if everyone in the United States STOPPED using plastic straws, we would STILL have a huge problem with pollution in our oceans?

It's the left over fishing lines by fishing crews. Many times fishing boats lose their line in the water and it becomes a little bit risky to jump in the water and grab it — especially in really bad ocean conditions. With that being said, I think that there are some people (and companies) that just don't give a hoot — and pollute!

C'mon! There are cute turtles out there. I mean — look at its face!
