The BlueClaws begin their 16th season in Lakewood tonight and are as much a part of summer at the Jersey Shore as beaches, boardwalks, barbecues and bennies and part of a lifestyle that includes Six Flags, Monmouth Park, the Stone Pony, LBI and Jenkinson’s.

Baseball season is back at the Jersey Shore as the Lakewood BlueClaws have begun their 2017 campaign.

The Lakewood BlueClaws are hosting a Mother's Day brunch at the Champion's Club and it's set to be a fun day for the whole family.

The Lakewood BlueClaws open their 2017 season in Kannapolis, North Carolina Thursday and once again the Shore Sports Network will be the radio home for the Class-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. All 140 regular-season games can be heard on Beach Radio 1160 & 1310AM with Greg Giombarrese behind the microphone for the ninth season in addition to serving as the Director of Media Relation

Take yourself out to the ball game - and get paid for it! The Lakewood Blueclaws hope to welcome new seasonal hired hands at their preseason Job Fair, Saturday, February 4 at First Energy Park in Lakewood.

The BlueClaws completed their regular season on Monday officially leading the South Atlantic League in attendance, as they have now done in each of their 16 seasons at the Jersey Shore. In 2016, the BlueClaws drew 353,080 fans to FirstEnergy Park, an average of 5,350 in 66 home dates (four games were postponed).

How many of us get to say, "So long, Honey, I'm off to work" - and then spend the day at the ballpark? About 100 people will get to say it all summer here in Ocean County.

As most of us are still digging out from nearly two feet of snow, we are still smack in the middle of winter here in Ocean County. But one of the true signs of spring - baseball season, isn't all that far away. One of my greatest memories growing up was getting into my pajamas and my parents loading us into our station wagon to go to the Rt 35 Drive In Theater in Eatontown.

Being the dog lover that I am I'll be taking advantage of going to "Dog Day in the Park" at First Energy Park home of the Lakewood Blueclaws this Saturday.
