Saint William The Abbot Catholic Church became a crime scene briefly on Sunday morning as Howell Police and bomb sniffing dogs from the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office investigated a suspicious document.

Howell Police said they received a call around 10:19 am from St. William the Abbott Church.

During the on-scene investigation, explosive seeking dogs from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office responded and cleared the building as well as surrounding property.

Investigators determined then that there were no threats or suspicious packages located on the premise.

Officers found that the suspicious documents were a manual to a video game called “Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes”.

Investigation revealed that there was no credible threat to the church or the community.

As a result of the incident though church officials cancelled the scheduled 12 o’clock mass.

For those who missed mass because of the incident, this weekend's readings were preaching the message of Jesus who said "love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."
