State Police are out with a scam warning for Jersey residents
Several New Jersey Law Enforcement agencies have been investigating a recent phone scam that threatens to harm victims' family members if money is not wired to the caller per their instructions.
Police say all of the calls are made from the number 331-240-1294 and a computerized voice claims to be watching the victims house.
If you get this call, hang up and call police immediately.
If you see that number, just don't pick it up.
If they leave a message, call the police.
State Police say all of the reported incidents are currently under investigation and there is no additional information available at this time.
