The song says 'it's the most wonderful time of the year, but the survey says that's not necessarily true in New Jersey.

It turns out that New Jersey is among the bottom five in a study reported at getcenturylink.com. Online activity and area culture were the two main categories used to come up with the rankings.

So just how badly did New Jersey do? It turns out only three states like Christmas less than we do, and they are Florida, Hawaii and Alaska, with the latter being the lowest ranking state.

I find this just so hard to believe, or maybe I'm just really disappointed. I mean, wherever I go, people are really looking forward to Christmas.

It's true that we're so busy it's hard to find time to shop, and when we do things are so expensive, but it's tough to take that it has affected our Christmas spirit that much.

New Jersey is ranked 47th in the nation and there is a little Grinch head next to our state on the map at getcenturylink.com which is just plain heartbreaking. The Grinch head denotes a state in the bottom 10. Ouch.

I'm not going to let this get me down. It's Christmas, and I say bring it on!
