Flu season is upon us. Have you gotten your flu shot this year yet? Here's some info on this year's flu and flu shot.

We checked the CDC website and here's some info about this year's flu and flu shot. First of all, they are not recommending the nasal spray flu vaccine this season, as was the case last season as well.

They, of course, are recommending injectable flu shots, and if you want to get details on who should be getting them, you can visit the FAQ page on the CDC website.

So how bad will flu season be this year? Experts at the CDC remind us that it's very difficult to predict the intensity of the season, or any given season, but they do say that our country experiences a flu epidemic each flu season.

When is flu season? Here's the bad news. It can start as early as November, but the peak of the season is between December and February, and there's still plenty of time to get the flu shot, but the sooner the better. Remember, it takes about two weeks for the antibodies to develop.

The CDC Flu page also has a lot of information about the types of strains we may be dealing with this season, so you may want to check it out, and be as prepared as you can for the flu season.
