It is the latest addition to the menu choices in Southern Ocean County, Chik-Fil-A is open in Manahawkin and it appears that folks are visiting by the carload. The new Chik-Fil-A is located on Route 72 in Stafford Township. This is the 2nd Ocean County location for Chik-Fil-A, along with the Brick Township Chik-Fil-A.

I wanted to head over and check out the new restaurant and finally, I had a chance to this past weekend. I also wanted to let a couple of weeks go by so I could get a look at the new location after it had some time to get its rhythm going.

The first thing I noticed was that yes there are a lot of folks doing drive-thru. There was a line of cars, but there were drive-thru workers that were working inside and outside the restaurant.

I'll be honest, we didn't go through the drive-thru, so I am not sure how fast things were going there. We did go inside and have a sit-down lunch and it was very enjoyable. The line moved quickly, there were plenty of tables available, and the staff was fantastic.

I think if you have the time you should get out of the car and head inside and enjoy indoor dining there. The new restaurant looks great and the staff could not have been better. Not every eatery (fast food) has staff attend to your needs throughout your meal and that was very nice. Everyone had a smile on their face as did my wife and my mom.

In addition, I saw the future site, I assume, for the Panera Bread which is coming to this location but has not begun yet. This is another brand I am really looking forward to and this will also be a hot spot in Southern Ocean County.
