Plumsted man on the run and wanted on a number of charges in Jackson Township
Police in Jackson Township are hoping you can help them find Richard McCrone III of Plumsted (Cream Ridge) whose wanted on a number of charges after using a machete to vandalize another persons home and car then evade authorities on Saturday night May 27.
Investigators say around 11:00 pm last night the 34-year old McCrone used a machete to damage another persons home and car and then left before police arrived on scene.
McCrone then returned to the same residence at 3 am on Sunday with police still investigating the scene.
He then hopped in a car and floored it eventually turning onto Reed Road where police stopped their motor vehicle pursuit of the vehicle for safety reasons.
McCrone is driving a 2007 gray colored Dodge Ram dual rear wheel pickup truck, with the New Jersey Registration of N52BUF, but police believe the tailgate may have been removed at this point.
He's being charged with criminal mischief, possession of a weapon (machete), unlawful possession of a weapon (machete), eluding a law enforcement officer, harassment and stalking, according to police.
