Let's face it. There's a lot of money floating around the Garden State. Most of it, of course, is floating out of our pockets and into someone else's, but there is certainly no shortage of money in our state. And now that the 2021 numbers have been released, one Monmouth County town has risen nearly to the top of the New Jersey heap, ranking in the top 5 richest towns in the state.

Of course, several wealthy towns come to mind immediately. The first two towns that came to my mind are both extremely wealthy, but they are not the town that made 2021's New Jersey list.

I was thinking of Colts Neck and Holmdel, both excellent guesses if I may say so myself, but also both wrong answers, So which town made it? I'll give you a hint. When you drive through it, you you might feel like you're in a different universe. A very beautiful, very movie like place.

By now, you probably have narrowed it down, or maybe zoned in on that one town it must be, and if you named the story land town of Rumson, then you are 100% correct. This beautiful Monmouth County town is ranked as the 3rd richest town in our state for 2021.

Check out this amazing number, according to Home Snacks. The median household income in Rumson is a whopping $188.906. That stat alone makes Rumson the #1 median household income among all of the top 10 towns on this list.

And by the way, New Jersey was recently ranked as the 11th richest state in the nation, according to Home Snacks as well. meaning Rumson is up there among the richest towns in the nation.

Must be nice.
