You'll be able to bring "A Virtually Celtic Christmas," a live performance from singer Michael Londra at the National Opera House of Ireland, into your home with Ocean County College's Grunin Center. Learn more about the show from Ocean County College's press release below:

A Virtually Celtic Christmas will feature traditional carols, ancient Gaelic hymns beautifully sung, and some classic songs that audiences familiar with Londra’s recordings will know well. The concert’s musical director, renowned Irish composer Liam Bates, has composed gorgeous choral arrangements for the evening. Guest artists include New York Times best-selling author Eoin Colfer, who, along with Bates, penned the Christmas musical NOËL, tunes from which will be included in the concert. West End star and Northern Ireland native Zoe Rainey (Wicked, Hairspray) will also make an appearance. Listen for songs such as “In the Bleak Midwinter;; “The Wexford Carol,” “Winter, Fire and Snow,” and a host of other tunes to warm you on a winter’s evening.

Ocean County College shared three ticket options:

  • $25 for the Video On Demand version of the concert
  • $35 for Video On Demand, plus a signed DVD of the show
  • $50 for Video on Demand, a signed DVD of the show, and a Zoom call with Michael Londra

This is cool - it's like you can have a front-row seat to the event from the comfort of your own home. Having holiday fun while remaining safe and following Covid-19 guidelines is a concern for many families this year, and I think this event sounds like a fun way to celebrate Christmas and keep socially distant.
