Luigi's Red Bank Best Ice Cream Sandwich

A Jersey Shore ice cream parlor is feeling the shine of the national spotlight for having "the best ice cream sandwich" in America.

BuzzFeed released their rankings based on Yelp reviews, and I'm proud to announce that Red Bank's own Luigi's ice cream on Broad Street in Red Bank made the cut.

So how amazing can an ice cream sandwich really be? This amazing.

That would be the 'Creamy Bun' ice cream sandwich. A freshly made warm glazed donut with two gigantic scoops of ice cream and the topping of your choice. In the picture above it was Fruity Pebbles.

Luigi's is really a hidden treasure at the Jersey Shore and Red Bank is the perfect spot for them.

The Luigi's crew have been in the ice cream game for a while. They began as a food truck five years ago. From one truck came two trucks, and eventually to the always hoppin' Broad Street in Red Bank.

While Luigi's wants to test your limits when it comes to traditional ice cream with items like the Creamy Bun, if you just want a cone, they are a solid choice. The milkshakes are the bomb, and if you've never had bubble tea, your first should be at Luigi's.

Congratulations to Luigi's for making Buzzfeed's prestigious and mouthwatering list. It's great when the Jersey Shore represents on a national level. As a matter of fact, they were the only New Jersey location to make the cut. Bravo!
