What Is Probability That Jersey Shore Will Get A White Christmas?
Are you someone who hopes for not only snow on Christmas Day, but a White Christmas?
And just so we are all clear: the definition of having a "White Christmas" means that we have at least one inch of snowfall on the ground.
Well the good news is that there is hope.
I visited the website WillIGetAWhiteChristmas.com which allows you to type in the town of your choice to see the probability of having a White Christmas.
I decided to type in Toms River, New Jersey -- aka, the location of our studio -- just to try it out and as of right now, there is a 50% chance that Toms River residents will be able to frollick in the snowflakes on Christmas day.
I know, I know....50% really doesn't tell us much but you can bookmark this link and keep track as we get closer and closer to December 25th. I am sure the percentage will change.
I also decided to take a look at AccuWeather just to see....and they say we have less than a 5% chance for a White Christmas. Um.....EWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Let's just hope that this percentage will increase as we get closer.
These rankings are super preliminary. We are still 42 days away from Christmas and in a place like the Jersey Shore, trying to predict the weather even just a few days in advance can be tricky.
So whether these percentages are good or bad, there is still a lot of times for things to change.
And remember....think WHITE for a "White Christmas!"
Happy Holidays all.
