Her husband told police she got in the car earlier in the day but he didn't know where she was going.

After not hearing back from his wife for several hours, he called police to report her missing.

The car was found around 6 pm near a community lake with her purse, wallet, cash, financial cards and her cell phone left inside.

The woman's name which hasn't been released yet by investigators is described by police as standing 5'5 and 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and may have been wearing a t-shirt and pajama bottoms.

Investigators conducted a search which included a water craft and a state police helicopter of the Holiday City senior community, particularly in the area where her car was found.

Police believe that she may be distraught and in need of assistance.

Anyone who has information that can help find the woman is urged to call police at 732-349-0150 extension 1020.
