Ex-South Jersey teacher awaits sentencing for sex with teen student
A former Buena Regional High School teacher has a September 8 sentencing date for charges tied to his inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old coed.
Willam J. Jacobs, 33, of Folsom, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.
Jacobs was arrested on February 22. New Jersey State Police investigators allege that Jacobs and the girl met for sex several times, and that they recovered several hundred electronic communicaitons. Detectives also assert that Jacobs urged the girl not to cooperate with investigators, once he became aware that he was under investigation.
Jacobs remains released until sentencing. The Prosecutor's office seeks additional information. The Major Crimes unit can be reached at 609-909-7800.
