An elderly woman found unresponsive in a swimming pool late last night on Dunn Drive in Marlboro has passed away from what police are calling an accidental drowning.

Family members pulled the woman out of the pool prior to police arrival shortly after 10:00 pm on Thursday evening.

The victim was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital by Marlboro First Aid Squad where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The patient is identified as 85-year old Fiana Milman of Brooklyn who was visiting family at the time of the incident.

It is unknown at this time how long the patient was in the pool before being discovered by the family.

Detective Edward Ungrady and Ptlm. Anthony Morgante of the Marlboro Township Police Department are the investigating officers.
