We know how desperate the need is around the holidays for food banks to help provide meals and that’s even greater during times of a global pandemic.  The Causeway Family of Dealerships recently held their 3rd Annual 5K at Southern Regional High School to benefit Fulfill (formerly known as The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties).

More than 100 runners and some 30 sponsors helped raise $13,670 but in a true gesture of kindness Causeway Founder/President Dave Wintrode matched that amount which allowed the auto dealer to present a check for $27,340 to Fulfill.

Every dollar donated provides three meals to those in need which means the Causeway donation will help provide our neighbors with more than 82,000 meals.

As mentioned this was the third fundraising run with the first two raising a total of nearly $9000 with Dave Wintrode matching that as well.  The Causeway 5K was organized by employees Chad Scanlon (Assistant Inventory Manager), Kaitlyn Strohmeier (Digital Marketing Assistant) and Joe Stroffolino (Director of Advertising and Marketing).  Ironically Scanlon was the overall winner of the 5K.
