Junior Cristian Bernardini jumpstarted the Manalapan offense with a two-run triple in the top of the first and added an RBI single and RBI double to lead the Braves to a round-one win over the Colonials. Manalapan will travel to play No. 3 Middletown South on Saturday in the round of 16.

Sophomore Ryan Koman highlighted a five-run second with a two-run single and junior Ryan Ushock added a two-run single in the top of the fourth as the Raiders rode some early offense to a win over the Mustangs.
An RBI double by junior Jake Verndon in the top of the fifth proved to be the difference, as Brick Memorial exploded for six runs in the bottom of the fifth to cut its deficit to one run. Sophomore Nico Maribo sparked the six-run inning with a two-run double.

Senior Billy Sottilaire tied the game with an RBI groundout in the top of the sixth and plated the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth as the Golden Eagles rallied from a 4-0 deficit to upend the Jaguars and stay in the Class A South division title race.
Junior Chase Pierce roped an RBI triple in the sixth to cut the deficit to 4-3 and scored on the Sottilaire groundout.

Toms River North could not corral a hard ground ball to the right side by senior Aidan Folsom in the top of the seventh and the Indians (6-5, 5-5) pieced together a tiebreaking, three-run rally in their final at-bat to beat the Mariners (6-6, 5-5), sweep the season-series from their rivals, and make a winner out of junior right-hander Chris Hastings.
Senior Gavin Migliori tacked on the fourth run with an RBI single to plate Folsom. Senior Colin Raimann finished 3-for-3 and started the winning rally with a single and junior Mikey Erli kept it going with a single.
Hastings went the distance on the mound, striking out seven, walking two and allowing one unearned run. He closed out the win by striking out the side in the bottom of the seventh.

Mater Dei Prep 5, Keansburg 3
Senior Anthony Tancredi went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI and classmate Kole Devaney was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI to help the Seraphs (6-4, 5-3) rally for four runs in the final two innings for a come-from-behind win over the Titans (3-5, 3-5).
Senior David Corbisiero also went 1-for-3 with an RBI to help Mater Dei pull out the win.
Sophomore Gavin Sansone and junior Brian Burnett combined to cover the seven innings on the mound, with Burnett throwing the final four to pick up the win. Sansone allowed one run on one hit and four walks while striking out seven on 75 pitches. Burnett (61 pitches) gave up two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over the final four innings.
Junior Matt Keelen was 2-for-3 with two RBI and senior Andrew Valle finished 1-for-3 with two runs and an RBI to lead the Keansburg lineup. Junior Donny Antenucci took the loss and struck out 10 over 5 1/3 innings and 113 pitches before freshman James Valle came on in relief.
Point Beach 11, Henry Hudson 0 (5 Innings)
Senior Colin Matuschat (2-for-3, two runs, three RBI) crushed a two-run home run in a six-run Point Beach first to jumpstart a Garnet Gulls (9-4, 6-2) win over the Admirals (2-4, 2-3).
Senior Andrew Banick finished 2-for-2 with three runs scored and an RBI double in the top of the first, while sophomore Nate Clayton was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Point Beach. Senior Hunter Roselli was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI and freshman Bryan Matuschat finished 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI in the win.
Senior Owen West and junior Kyle Kolans combined on a two-hit shutout, with West pitching 2 1/3 no-hit innings with five strikeouts, four walks and 48 pitches. Kolans struck out five, walked one and threw 41 pitches to close out the final 2 2/3 innings.
Sophomore Aiden Winters went 2-for-3 to lead Henry Hudson.
Class B South
Lacey 6, Manchester 3
Senior Matt McClung and junior Carson Gudzak hit back-to-back, run-scoring singles in Lacey's four-run second and the Lions held on to be the Hawks.
Gudzak's second-inning single drove in two runs to make the score 2-0 and McClung added an RBI single in the sixth to extend Lacey's lead to 5-3. Senior Zack Barrett, meanwhile, capped a three-hit game with an RBI single in the top of the seventh.
