Junior Spencer Hobson got the Bulldogs back in the game with a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth and absorbed a hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded to force home the go-ahead run in the following inning in a come-from-behind win over the Crimson Knights.
Wall jumped on top with a three-run home run by senior Andrew Fischer in the top of the first inning and added two more in the third on back-to-back RBI triples by seniors Jackson Coan and Nick Lovarco.
Rumson drew a run closer on an RBI groundout by senior Charlie Tallman in the third and Hobson's home run cut it to 5-4 in the fourth. The Bulldogs tied it up on a wild pitch and added a third run in the fifth an RBI infield single by sophomore Aaron Del Tin following the go-ahead hit-by-pitch.
Senior Matt Rigby doubled home what proved to be the winning run in the bottom of the sixth, which extended Rumson's lead to 8-6.
Wall pulled within a run in the top of the seventh and had runners on second and third with two out before junior Cal Champeau retired the final batter of the game to lock up the win for Rumson.
