What’s the Big Deal with Big Enough Way?

Upon moving from sunny Southern California to Toms River, New Jersey almost three years ago, I discovered an interesting street name in my neighborhood. Ever since, I've wondered and inquired about its origins, but was never provided with an answer. I leave it up to you devotees of Beach Radio and Jersey Shore historians. Why is this dead end street, off Maple and around the corner from New Hampshire in Toms River, called "Big Enough Way?"
