I don't know about you but every time I make eye contact with the Circus Drive-In billboard my mind gets flooded with memories. I can't tell you how many times I enjoyed a Circus Drive-In vanilla ice cream cup with a lollipop sticking out of it. The place was a Jersey Shore landmark for 64 years and to this day, many locals will say they wish the establishment was still around.

In 2017 the Circus Drive-In was sold and in 2018 the building was demolished. Now in 2021, the legendary billboard is being preserved but the lot off Rt. 35 is completely vacant. To be honest, the lot with weeds growing out of the ground is becoming an eyesore for Wall Township.

So what will be built there next? Of course, there are plenty of rumors floating around town but nothing really has been set in stone. It's currently listed as "retail space" according to Loopnet.com.

Some ideas are completely ridiculous but some actually make sense. I asked locals what they would want to be built, and here's what they said...

What Would You Want To See Built In That Location?

Rt. 35 is already crowded with great places but what would you want to see in the Circus Drive-In vacant lot? Share and let us know!
