If someone asked you to name the Jersey Shore's most iconic landmark, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

There are a lot of great choices, and despite that fact, one publication has chosen the most iconic landmark in each state, and the choice for New Jersey was not a Monmouth or Ocean County location.

The choice of Travel Pulse for New Jersey was the Atlantic City Boardwalk, and no one is arguing that the legendary boards aren't a good choice, but it got us thinking about which landmark would get the honor if we limit the geography to Monmouth & Ocean Counties.

We asked a handful of Jersey Shore residents to name a local landmark spot that they considered iconic, and here's a list of some of the answers we heard (in no particular order)...

Asbury Park Boardwalk

Freehold Raceway

Allaire State Park

Sea Girt Lighthouse

Molly Pitcher Inn

Convention Hall

Sandy Hook Lighthouse

Jenkinson's Boardwalk

Remember, these were the first thoughts of some random Jersey Shore residents, and they are really good ones. But they are certainly not the only ones. So, if there's one on your mind that you don't see here, feel free to add it in the 'comments' section.

And we'd also like you to cast your vote for the landmark spot you consider most iconic. We'll add them all up and give you the results soon.

Here's my vote. After careful consideration, and with all due respect to all the other choices, I just can't help but lean toward the history and majesty and beauty of Convention Hall in Asbury Park.

To me, there is just something amazing about that place, and it doesn't hurt that I have the privilege of broadcasting the Friday morning shows in the summer literally in the shadows of this wonderful place.

So, let us know what you think. We're looking forward to your response!
