TOMS RIVER — A water main break early Saturday morning on Indian Hill road caused multiple Suez water customers to have their service interrupted.

Water service was restored around 10 a.m., according to Suez Water spokeswoman Jane Kunka, who said the break was the result of a "service break." which affected customers on Indian Hill Road, Highmeadow Drive, and Ryan Run.

"We didn't lose pressure, but we do recommend, if people can run a cold tap, until the water runs clear if they experienced any type of discoloration," Kunka said.

She estimates the number of people affected by this break to be about 50 and was not sure what exactly caused the break.

Crews are still on site and Indian Hill Road had been closed between Bay Avenue and Yellowbank Road as a result.
