The weather is getting nicer and that means more people on the roads.

Jackson Police have taken note and will have extra sets of eyes across the 100 miles of the municipality this month.

Sgt. George Vidalis said in a statement on Thursday they will be conducting a traffic enforcement program this month where officers will be "deployed at various locations looking for violations including, but not limited to, primary collision factors involving speed, red light and right-of-way violations."

If you violate the rules of the road, you'll be cited and police will let you know what you did and how you can learn from it.

"The need for driver education and enforcement is ongoing due to traffic volumes within the township. The police department's ultimate goal is to enforce and educate the driving public while reducing serious injuries and fatal collisions," Jackson Police Sgt. George Vidalis said in a statement.
