This is quite possibly the easiest 20 bucks you'll ever make. Free dessert, anyone?

You may have heard that there's a cream cheese shortage happening, which is really inconvenient for the Christmas baking season! I know that at least 2 of my Mom's amazing cookie recipes call for cream cheese (ever try Tea Time Tassies or Snowballs? They're to die for). I know I would literally be lost without these cookies, and it would take a lot for my Mom not to make them, but Philadelphia Cream Cheese (seen here for sale at Walmart) is trying its best to dissuade people from baking with their product.

Why is there a cream cheese shortage?

To sum it up from this 92.7 WOBM news article, there's a labor shortage and more demand for cream cheese. So that's a recipe for disaster (no pun intended).

Where does the $20 come in?

The creative juices are flowing over at Kraft and Philadelphia - and they're literally PAYING you not to buy their product. You read that correctly. Per CNN, the cream cheese giant is going to reimburse you $20 for dessert.

How does this work?

Kraft has set up a website called Spread the Feeling (click here to check it out). You'll have to visit it on December 17th and 18th (today is the 15th, so that's this Friday and Saturday if you're playing from home) at noon eastern to try and claim your $20. As always, there's a catch - there's a limited number of rewards (18,000) so if you're interested, you have to hurry! If you're chosen for the $20 reward, you'll be able to submit your receipt for reimbursement from 12/28 - 1/4.

Good luck, and happy $20 reward hunting!
