UPDATE: Toms River Drive-Thru Continues Construction

This is an update on a story I brought to you several weeks ago. It’s the construction of the new Farm Store drive-thru that’s being constructed on Route 37 at Lowell Avenue in Toms River. This project is going to bring a “drive-thru” grocery, bakery and coffee shop. As you can see from the photos the project is taking shape and beginning to look like a store. By the way the main part of the store is a repurposed storage container....talk about recycling.
As you can see they have poured a concrete base and have put in the footings for the asphalt drive-thru area. Also the doors have been installed in the front entrance. Check out some additional photos of this construction project UPDATE.
If you are not familiar with this project, it’s a company called Farm Stores and they have people purchasing franchises around the nation to open up drive-thru’s that provide basic groceries, fresh baked items and coffee to go! They are known for their fresh baked bread and fresh squeezed orange juice
In Conclusion: I like the idea of the drive-thru and especially during a pandemic but will it be as popular when we are back to normal and people are not worried about going “in to” stores? Drive-thru’s are great if you have kids and don’t wanna unpack your car to get a loaf of bread. That being said do you like it’s location on Route 37 in Toms River? Share YOUR thoughts.
