An intoxicated Tuckerton man is facing charges following his arrest on Tuesday in Berkeley Township after he entered an unlocked home and made it up to the roof.

Berkeley Police responded to the area of Sloop Creek Drive and Lawrence Avenue for a report of a suspicious person around  5:30 am after it was reported that a man was knocking on doors in the neighborhood.

That's when police say the suspect, later identified as 26-year old Sean Sofield, eventually made entry into an unlocked home and made it to the roof where he was then apprehended by police.

Police said that Sofield was likely under the influence of some sort of intoxicant and believed he was being chased by unknown persons.

He was charged with Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct and was remanded to the Ocean County Jail.

This case is still under investigation.
