Toms River woman stable after bicycle accident in Berkeley
A Toms River woman remains in stable condition after being hit by a car while riding along Davenport Road and Portsmouth Drive in Berkeley Township on Saturday around 3:54 pm.
Police say the 60-year old was heading west on Davenport when she swerved into the road and was hit by 92-year old Ralph Tarantino of Toms River who was also heading westbound, according to the driver and witness accounts provided to officers.
The bicyclist was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center to be treated for her injuries.
Her condition is listed as stable.
This crash is currently under investigation by Traffic Safety Officer, Ptl. Scott Rudolph. Anyone with information is asked to call 732-341-1132 extension 2125.
