Mark Camlin was apprehended Thursday by members of the Ocean County Prosecutor's High Tech Crime Unit (HTCU), Toms River police, and agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations. He faces several counts related to pornography and marijuana possession.

HTCU investigators initiated the probe after allegedly fielding salacious images from Camlin's Citta Street house. On July 6, they searched the dwelling and seized computers that, according to authorities, contained several hundred images of young children in sex acts. Detectives also found several marijuana plants and items related to it, according to the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

Camlin was processed at Toms River Police headquarters before being transported to the Ocean County Jail. He faces a second-degree count of child pornography distribution, a third-degree child pornography possession charge, a third-degree count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and fourth-degree counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities did not indicate whether Camlin retained a lawyer. The County's case is in the hands of Assistant Prosecutors Kristin Pressman and Michelle Armstrong.

Charges are allegations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
