We start the day with snow today around the Jersey Shore, so what do you need to know about today's weather?

Our Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says it not just snowfall we need to keep our eyes on. There is a potential for some flooding today as well.

The snow. Dan expects that we will see a total of an inch or two of accumulation, but most of that will be on grassy surfaces. You still need to watch out for slippery spots on the road of course.

The flooding. There is a coastal flood advisory in effect for the entire coastline of New Jersey during this morning's high tide cycle. It's expected to be a foot to a foot and a half higher than normal and could cause some minor flooding.

The timing. Any leftover snowfall tapers off tonight, and the low temperature is expected to be about 20. The high will return to the mid 40's on Thursday.

Dan Zarrow is keeping his eyes on the latest round of winter weather here at the Jersey Shore and you can stay up to date by checking out his weather blog.
