^Me after hearing about this theory.
The ever-entertaining New Jersey Memes Instagram account shared a new twist on the Central Jersey debate that will definitely make you scratch your heads. But, before I get into that, I wanted to say that I am firmly on team Central Jersey - as someone who has traveled the span of the state, there's just no way we can deny the existence of Central Jersey.
But that's enough of that.
New Jersey Memes shook us all up by saying not only is there a Central Jersey - there are actually 5 regions to the state: Northwest, Northeast, Central, South West, and Shore (the best region, obviously). Check out a screenshot from the story below:
Possible unpopular opinion, again - but I love this 5 region theory. It acknowledges that NJ is made up of a lot of diverse areas (for example, Ocean County can be considered South Jersey, but it's very different from Burlington County, which identifies a lot with Philly culture). It's a win-win for everyone.
The next time someone denies the existence of Central Jersey, I dare you to throw them for a loop with this 5 region theory. You'll either make a believer out of them or, cause a little drama (which never hurt anyone, to be honest).
What are your thoughts on the 5 region theory?
