For the scoop on what's happening at Allaire Community Farm in Wall, Jo Ann Burney the Co-Founder and Executive Director, joined us on 'Shore Time with Vin and Dave' on 94.3 The Point and 105.7 The Hawk on Sunday morning.

"We're doing our Fall Harvest Festival, and that's where you can come, you can get your pumpkin, you can get your corn stalk, your hay bale, apple cider donuts, hayride, barrel train ride -- it's a beautiful time to be on the farm, the leaves are changing and it's picturesque," Burney tells Townsquare Media. "That'll be going on, continuing until November 20. We are open six days a week to the public, Tuesday thru Saturday 10-4, and Sundays 12-4."

This has become such an immensely popular place that right now all birthday parties and class trips for the rest of the 2022 season are booked.

"Everybody wants to be on the farm at this time of year," Burney said.

In addition to going to Allaire Community Farm and getting some apple cider donuts, corn stalk, hay bale, pumpkins and more, you'll also be able to see an outstanding Halloween decoration display.

"One of our volunteers, Dawn Mazzarella, is a 'Halloween freak', and she has single handily decorated the entire farm," Burney said. "So, if you want to come and see Halloween decorations that are tastefully done that aren't going to scare your kids to death -- just a little spooky -- but nothing that's going to have the kids running out and screaming and crying -- definitely come out, she (Dawn) spent weeks and weeks and weeks doing this and it's definitely worth seeing, she did a wonderful job. She just loves to decorate for Halloween and she went overboard this year and did an outstanding job."

Following the Fall Harvest Festival at Allaire Community Farm in Wall Township this fall, comes the 2nd annual Christmas Spectacular which will be bigger and better this year as fantastic as it was in 2021.

"We are so excited about this year -- last year was our first year (doing this), we weren't quite sure -- but the feedback was tremendous, and people loved it," Burney said. "The one thing that was lacking is we felt like we didn't have enough for our Jewish friends that faithfully visit the farm, so, this year we're happy to announce that in addition to the lit menorah and the Star of David we had last year, we are adding a 30-foot lit, spinning dradle and we are going for the Guinness Book of World Records. Hopefully we're going to break that record."

There's some other exciting additions that you'll be able to come and check out as well.

"We're also adding a Nativity scene. It's a Live Nativity in that our animals are going to be there but Live Nativity people, because we don't want to stress out our animals, it's at night and that's there quite time, so, we got the life-sized nativity scenes -- they're going to be on a lit platform, the animals will be underneath them in their natural habitat," Burney said. "It still brings that reminder of what Christmas is all about (The Nativity and the Birth of Christ)."

There will be some of the other Christmas spirit decorations up as well.

"We ordered some more 40-foot blow ups that are going to be tremendous, we have a reindeer display that kind of flys through the air and that I think is 45-feet, so, that's going to be tremendous," Burney said.

The Christmas hayride will be returning from last year.

"As you enter the farm, you're going to hear Christmas music playing, there will be a fire-pit outside that you can warm your hands, you go inside get some hot chocolate, some apple cider, apple cider donuts, those necklaces for the kids that light up and funky glasses, then you go out into what we call 'the bullpen' and we have old school Christmas movies playing -- all of those will be playing as you wait to board one of the four hayrides we have that are all decorated, playing Christmas music. You get onto the hayride and then you go into a Winter Wonderland, it's magical."
