A New Jersey man who resides in Middlesex County will be spending the next six-months at home with nowhere to go after he was sentenced for selling sperm whale ivory carvings.

Well this is a “whale of a tale” lol and who knows maybe they “thought” they saw a whale, but reports on social media with OC Scanner News, say folks saw a whale 🐋 off the coast of Asbury Park, right here at the Jersey Shore. Not a complete surprise, but less common for us to see these sightings close to the beach.
A giant whale washed up on the beach earlier today at the Monroe Avenue beach entrance in Spring Lake.
You will see in the video, a bunch of people and lifeguards went in the water to try to push the whale back out in the Atlantic Ocean so hopefully, it would swim away back to safety
Unfortunately, their attempt on saving the whale was unsuccessful, and the whale later died on the beach...
