The Seaside Heights man, who turned himself into authorities in Ocean County on Monday to face charges including Attempted Murder, will remain jailed until his trial.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced Thursday that 37-year old Michael Stallworth consented to remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending trial on charges of Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon stemming from an incident in Brick on July 26 when he stabbed a man outside the ShopRite on Route 70.

Stallworth has been in the Ocean County Jail since surrendering himself to the Ocean County Sheriff's Office Warrants Division earlier this week.

The detention hearing was handled by Assistant Prosecutor Andrew Leimbach.

The 44-year old man Stallworth stabbed remains in critical bu stable condition at Jersey Shore University Medical Center as of a last report by the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.
