Lakewood, NJ man arrested for displaying family jewels outside Walmart in Brick, NJ

A Lakewood man who risked it all outside the Walmart on Route 88 was among those arrested by the Brick Police Street Crimes Unit for a variety of crimes.

There was first a Toms River woman who police said committed several motor vehicle violations along Brick Boulevard and Hooper Avenue on June 30 heading towards Toms River where she was pulled over.

Police searched the vehicle as did K9 Echo and officers found heroin, crack, and drug paraphernalia which led to the arrest of 55-year-old Renee Marturano and her passenger, 37-year-old Austin Kaiser who were both charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), two counts of possession with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kaiser was also charged for failing to wear a seatbelt, failing to turn over a CDS, and being under the influence of a CDS.

Police also charged Marturano with failure to use a turn signal, unsafe lane change and delaying traffic.

Kaiser and Marturano were then placed in the Ocean County Jail.

Then, a Lakewood woman was caught allegedly shoplifting from the Wawa on Brick Boulevard on Thursday July 7 around 11:45 pm.

The Brick Police SCU then arrested 32-year-old Alaina McColley and as they did so, they found her in possession of crack and drug paraphernalia leading to her arrest and charges on a warrant and then officers brought her to the Ocean County Jail.

It was on Friday July 15, around 7:00 pm, that Brick Police SCU Detectives were called to Walmart after getting a report that a man was exposing his genitals to people.

The on-scene investigation led to 29-year-old Armar Keys of Lakewood and 30-year-old Alyssa Adams of Toms River being arrested and charged for the incident.

Police said that Keys tried to keep his real identity hidden because he had warrants out for his arrest as it was, so he gave them a fake one.

Once police tracked down who he really was, Keys resisted but was eventually placed in handcuffs.

When police including K9 Rebel searched their vehicle, they found undisclosed but large amounts of drugs including crack, suboxone, and lorazepam.

Police said that Adams and Keys were charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, intent to distribute Suboxone, possession of prescription legend drugs, possession of paraphernalia, and contempt of court.

For exposing himself to the public and then resisting arrest, Keys was also charged with lewdness, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice, being under the influence, hindering apprehension, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Keys and Adams were issued warrants, police said, and then brought to the Ocean County Jail.
