A Point Pleasant Borough woman has been arrested and charged with possession of child porn after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force identified 24-year old Lisa Cuervo as a suspect in the crime.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced the charge on Friday saying that Detectives from the OCPO High Tech Crime Unit and Point Pleasant Borough Police executed a search warrant as well yesterday at Cuervo's residence.

Detectives seized a smart phone belonging to Cuervo which contained child pornography.

During the course of executing the search warrant, Detectives also seized approximately 17 marijuana plants and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Cuervo was charged with Manufacturing More than Ten but Less than Fifty Marijuana Plants in addition to the child porn charge and Endangering the Welfare of a Child Billhimer said based upon the fact that her minor child living in the residence had access to the illegal plants and drug paraphernalia.

Cuervo was processed at the Point Pleasant Borough Police Department and transported to the Ocean County Jail where she is currently lodged pending a detention hearing.
