Wanted Brick, NJ man arrested at JFK Airport in New York for uploading child porn to internet

A Brick Township man who allegedly uploaded a series of child porn images to the internet and then fled the country was arrested upon his arrival back in the U.S. at JFK International Airport in New York City.

It was about a week ago when the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force tipped off the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office that they picked up on someone who was uploading child porn to the internet via the Kik Messenger App, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.

Upon receiving this information, an investigation began within the OCPO High Tech Crime Unit and Prosecutor Billhimer said that they identified the man as 35-year-old Christopher Budelman who had a Verizon Wireless account and was uploading the child porn images to the internet.

Then, Prosecutor Billhimer said that OCPO-HTCU Detectives as well as those from the U.S. DHS-Investigations Unit, New Jersey State Police K-9 Unit, and Brick Township Police searched Budelman's home after getting a court authorized search warrant on September 27 and they ended up seizing a desktop computer and found a hard-drive full of child porn images.

At the time, Budelman was out of the country, according to Prosecutor Billhimer, so his name was put into the National Crime Information Center Database and he was charged on a warrant with Possession of Child Pornography.

On Tuesday, Budelman returned to the U.S. and was promptly arrested by United States Department of Homeland Security-Investigations Unit Officers at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Prosecutor Billhimer said that Budelman will be soon be extradited to Ocean County and driven to the Ocean County Jail where he will await a detention hearing.

Budelman is the latest resident to be charged with allegedly uploading, possessing, or distributing child porn onto or across the internet.
