Pickup truck becomes submerged in the water in Brick

A pickup truck trying to back down a boat launch ramp in Brick Township ends up rolling into the water at Lightning Jack’s Marina on Ridge Road and becoming submerged when the brake let go on Thursday afternoon around 4:45 pm.

The driver got out to check on the boat and trailer and couldn't get back to the truck to re-apply the brakes.

The boat then floated off of the trailer but was recovered and the truck was pulled out of the water.

There were no injuries and no damage to the boat or trailer.

Dive rescue and fire rescue teams responded as did a tow truck.

The pickup truck was pulled from the water and brought to a local tow garage.
