Sunday night will be Peter Dinklage's final opportunity to portray his amazing character Tyrion Lannister on HBO's Game Of Thrones.

Dinklage joins a very talented and eclectic group of amazing actors who haved played memorable, and in some cases legendary TV characters. In tribute to the great work of New Jersey stars, today we spotlight a few of those actors and the characters they made famous.

John Travolta. It's hard to believe one of the sprinboards to his impressive career for the Englewood star with the goofy but lovable Vinny Barbarino on the sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter".

James Gandolfini. Another New Jersey guy who made his character legendary on an HBO original. Tony Soprano, like Gandolfini himself, is forever etched in our minds.

Bruce Willis. Before becoming the legendary John McClane in the Die Hard movie franchised, he was the sort of legendary David Addison on the TV show 'Moonlighting'.

Of course, this is really the tip of the iceberg for New Jersey TV stars, so Monday we'lll have more for you. It's sad to know that by then, Peter Dinklage will be the former star of Game of Thrones. That hurts for every GOT fan?
