Ocean County couple found with 250 bags of heroin in Manchester
Two Ocean County residents have been charged with multiple narcotics offenses after Manchester Police found 250 bags of heroin, four grams of crack-cocaine, a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia at a traffic stop.
Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Team observed a vehicle in the area of Route 571 and County Route 547 and pulled it over to investigate the occupants of the car.
Their search yielded the drugs which have an approximate street value of $2,200.00.
The driver, Zachary Lockwood, 20, of Toms River was charged with one count each of Possession and Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failure to Surrender CDS.
The passenger, Brittany Serovinski, 21, of Brick was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Surrender CDS.
Lockwood and Serovinski were both lodged in the Ocean County Jail with a court date to follow.
Assisting in the investigation were members of the Manchester Police K9 Unit and Manchester Police Patrol Bureau.
