Top Food Experts Can’t Agree On New Jersey’s Absolute Best Restaurant
It's no surprise that with all the great restaurants we have here in the Garden State, there would be some controversy naming the state's best.
It's not just New Jersey residents who can't seem to narrow down all of our great eateries to just one. That makes sense. You have your favorites, and they are usually close to home.
When it comes to the experts, however, they have no dog in the race, as they say. They don't necessarily live here or have history here, so it should be more cut and dry for them.
It should just be about the food, the ambiance, and the presentation. But even the experts can't agree on the best restaurant in New Jersey.
We were all over the internet, checking in with some of the most well-respected food experts on the web, and they were just as divided as New Jersey residents when it came to the Garden State's best restaurant.
Here are the choices made by some top food and travel sites. See if you agree.
Trip Savvy. The experts here say the top restaurant in New Jersey is Heirloom Kitchen in Old Bridge, and they say you have to try the scallops.
Let's Roam. They went a little closer to the city and chose Battello in Jersey City, where it seems they think the view is just as good as the amazing food.
Business Insider. The experts there chose the legendary Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick as the best in the state.
Sherman's Travel. They had a different selection than the others. They opted for Razza's in Jersey City, and they say the pizza can't be beaten.
Four different experts, and four different choices for the best restaurant in New Jersey, and maybe that's the way it should be. If New Jersey residents can't pick just one, then the experts shouldn't be able to either, and so far they haven't.
In the meantime, you can use these suggestions on your own New Jersey food bucket list.
