The love keeps pouring in for the great towns of Monmouth County, and the one in the spotlight by a national publication this time around deserves the great publicity, and should probably get much more attention than it does. And this town has been named the "Must Visit Small Town" for New Jersey by a national publication.

There are a lot of towns in Monmouth & Ocean Counties that fit the bill. If you were telling a friend who is visiting our are which town is a must see, you'd probably have trouble keeping that list to less than 5, so picking one isn't easy.

But not only did Thrillist narrow it down to one, they chose an absolutely deserving town that doesn't often get that kind of attention. So congratulations to the amazing Monmouth County town of Sea Bright for getting the honor.

Thrillist touts the fact that Sea Bright is a gorgeous Jersey Shore oasis minus the touristiness (probably not a word, but you know what I wean) of other beach towns at the Jersey Shore.

They even took a couple of unnecessary shots at Snooki, but we're not going to get caught up in that. We're just happy Sea Bright got the spotlight.

And you know we can't resist talking about other towns that could definitely be a must see town at the Jersey Shore..

More Beach Towns You'll Want To See

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
