Summer weather has arrived at the Jersey Shore, and that means humidity and today the Jersey Shore is under an air quality alert.

It's the first air quality alert of the year, and of course it means the air may be unhealthy for certain portions of the Jersey Shore's population, including the very young, the very old and those with respiratory issues.

The DEP has set the alert at Code Orange for today, according to acccuwether.com, and the alert is in effect for Monmouth and Ocean Counties as well as surrounding areas and is in effect until midnight tonight.

Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says we will probably see temperatures in the upper 80's inland today, and will probably make it to the 80's at the beaches as well. Dan expects high temperatures to exceed 80 through Friday. You can check out Dan's forecast anytime to stay up to date on Jersey Shore weather.
