JEOPARDY! Debuted This Day in 1964

The original version of one of TV's longest running game shows, JEOPARDY! debuted this day in 1964 on NBC with its original host, Art Fleming. The program is Merv Griffin's creation (as is Wheel of Fortune). Fleming hosted the program for eleven years, but Alex Trebek's version has kept the franchise going for an addition 33 years and it shows no signs of stopping.
